Aplicações de técnicas de Inteligência Artificial (IA) têm se mostrado promissoras para resolver diversos problemas em Astronomia, por permitirem análise de dados, aprimoramento de modelos científicos e resolução de problemas que, de outro modo, não poderiam ser abordados. Diversos grupos vêm apresentando soluções inovadoras, usando Machine Learning e outras técnicas de IA, aplicadas aos problemas da Astrofísica. Este workshop visa contribuir com a discussão e o desenvolvimento de aplicações de técnicas de IA em Astronomia no Estado de São Paulo e no país.
